How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Simitis said we missed the train of history, but of course, he was another traitor.

I think its reversed now. and the minority that said yes is now turning round to label the NO Majority as traitors and idiots who believed the Tpap propaganda and condemned the island to perpetual Hell.

When are you going to respect the majority of this island and their democratic vote? Had tpap neotiated the plan better it might not had been voted out...however He didn't and We did!

My advice is get over this and if you do not appreciate the wishes of the majority of this island and believe in democracy then do not expect to be respected for your choice back.

And don't think the irony of the majority and the minority has not hit me.

Since when does the majority dictate to the minority? For you respect, it seems, is for me to bow my head and say "sorry, I will change everything I believe in because you are the boss". I suppose those that opposed Hitler, who won the democratic elections in Germany in the early 30's, always had a DT to remind them that they should hush, but anyway, I am proud to belong to the minority. Still you will never hear me accuse anyone of being a traitor, even if he messed up big time, like missing a historical chance to reunite Cyprus. I can criticise someone for political shortsightedness (even if I am in the minority) but I will never say he is a traitor.

P.S. My condolences for your team's loss on Saturday, but, its just a game.

 give it a rest comrade...seems that as soon as Christofias got to power we need one of our players to be decapitated before we're ever given a penalty

What impresses me is the ease in which you accusse me of acting like a Nazi enthusiast simply because i asked for a little respect for the decision taken by the country democratically in 2004. The AP was rejected get over it.

Seems that anyone who disagrees with you liberals these days is either a fascist or an extremist! I like the new tactics I believe the last people that used them were Hrisi Avgi against a bunch of Bananiot lookalikes in Ledra Street when the classified a group of people as traitors because they wanted to open the ledra street crossing.

Here you are. I dedicate Nikos Dimou to both of you and we can discuss it over a pint after I get over my bronchitis. I am afraid its in Greek.

Perhaps its worth translating the verse (Dionysis Savvopoulos)

Minorities, like barefoot battalions,
march in absolute darkness.

The new trick is to term the left "progressive" and by default then all the others are "regressive". Nikos Dimou, for all his whining, was always in the media in Greece and he has not spared minorities he hates from his caustic and often fascist comments. As an advertising man he uses language to HIS advantage and in this little article he laments not being able to impose his take on the rest of the country. He is not the best person to cite in anything that pertains to Cyprus. He sees things from a distance and with the assumptions of the international jet setter who has Turkish friends who think like he does. The Deep Turkish State do not share those views. In short, he knows nothing of Cypriots (GC or TC) and their concerns.

"Caustic and fascist comments"? I know he has been called many things (anti greek etc) but fascist?

This is his site on the web (english version) and I urge people to read some of his works. Especially I suggest the "anti-hellene". If you find something fascist in it, please tell me about it.
