Pro-Tibet protesters launch new march to Tibet, days after Indians arrest earlier marchers
Dozens of protesters in India launched a new march to Tibet on Saturday, days after more than 100 Tibetan exiles were arrested by authorities during a similar rally.
The new marchers crossed the district boundary without event even as a few police marched with them.
A local police officer Ram Nayak told The Associated Press that he had received no orders so far to detain the marchers.
On Friday, more than 100 Tibetan exiles began two weeks of detention in northern India after police arrested them during a march to their homeland to protest China's hosting of the Olympic Games.
The demonstrators had vowed to march from India to Tibet, where they planned to arrive at the start of the Olympics in August. The march began Monday, the day Tibetans commemorate a 1959 uprising against China.

Nepal: At least 12 monks injured during Tibet protest
Police have scuffled with about 1,000 protesters, including dozens of Buddhist monks, during a rally in Katmandu in support of demonstrators in Tibet. About 12 monks have been injured.
The protest, which began as a candlelight rally at a prominent Buddhist shrine, quickly became an angry march, as protesters tried to make their way Friday evening to the Chinese embassy. Police, though, have scuffled with the protesters to stop them from marching.
"Today we are demonstrating to support our people in Tibet," says Gampa Lama, a monk from Nepal's community of Tibetan exiles. "We are urging the Chinese government for peaceful resolution."
A police official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said about a dozen monks were injured, none seriously.

Next you will tell us that the Cyprus government will organise mass protests against China, like the ones organised by AKEL against the USA during the invasion of Iraq. So, do give me a wake up call when Christofias calls upon the masses to demonstrate against China.

It is a country led by people who enjoy inflicting pain on other humans.
How the hell the world let them stage the Olympics is beyond me..
