I was an keen collector of stamps during my school-days. Still got my albums which includes most of the GB commeratives and definitive issues of the sixties and early seventies. Pride and joy several complete sets of the castle definitives (beautiful stamps) and a number of overprinted World Cup Winners from 66. Also loads of Cy isues from this period.

Bill,I used to be a stamp collector as well.I ended up selling my stamps,as I just couldn't keep up with the numbers being churned out.New Zealand Post is one of the worst offenders for churning out stamps,as is Royal Mail.

The 1960 Cypriot Republic overprint issue is now a very hard series to find,as is the Cypriot map issue that came out on Cypriot Independence Day.

I even had a couple of 'TRNC' stamps as well. They're not easy to find over here.

There's only so much that you can collect.I was forced to offload my stamps, then I offloaded my non-British Commonwealth coins & banknotes.
That is how I got the money to buy my computer.

Aidan.

I must dig up my albums. Haven't gone through them for a great, great many years. Potentially the most interesting Cy one I have is an overprinted definitive from about 1964 featuring Kyrenia Castle.

No worries BillC is not that it belong to me. I am really glad that at least this thread did not turn to Oracles Life or exchange of swear words especially from Aidan and to Aidan.

Anyway, I said that those two coins dont have real value but is better to give them to someone that collect them.

Aidan the Caribbean one is from 2004. I guess you dont want it! Well anyone?
