How is the UK treating you Bill ?

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Hi Bill
Sorry to hear about Mrs Bill's unsettled state. I can understand somewhat as we were keen to retire here too and then suddenly just a few weeks before we moved, I got second, third and fourth thoughts and even started to feel annoyed that I had to go when I had previously agreed and was excited. It was just such a big thing and for me the kids were a priority. Before we moved one of them had trouble with their job and the other with their house move and that freaked me out as i would not now be on hand to mop up things! Sad, I know but mums are mums. Anyway, after a while I settled well in Cyprus and then realised that the kids managed OK and in fact it strengthened their personalities to have to cope alone (I only rang once a day!) I think also we feel guilty about moving away and perhaps Mrs Bill feels a bit like that too. Hopefully, as in my case, it will all settle down soon.

She's only been out through the front door twice in the last week

To be honest I don't really know what I'm going to do with her or what she exactly wants :?

When you think that we have spent the last 15 years working towards a new life in Cyprus it all seems so disappointing .

As you know the weather in the UK is crap at the moment which isn't doing her any good but might ultimately have the effect of encouraging her to return to sunny Cyprus.

I think the biggest mistake we made was to keep a bolt hole in the UK ~ it was originally intended for our youngest son and his girlfriend to live there with us popping up a couple of times a year but they chose to live with her mum when we left for Cyprus as it was the cheaper option :?

I suppose we will wait and see what happens.

Dear Bill, how sad! :(

I do hope that Mrs Bill comes to a conclusion one way or another - then she may feel more settled!

Good luck

BTW, Cyprus is quite dry and windy today so not such a good day with all the dust and sand flying around!! :x

Quite windy???

There is a 500mph gale here! :(

:x Ssh silly! Mrs Bill might hear

On the plus side - it is a great day for drying your washing - providing it does not fly away!!
