Extending the T/C argument...

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Extending the T/C argument...

Postby utu » Fri Mar 14, 2008 7:27 am

Okay, the Turkish Cypriots are saying that they want an equal voice in the running of Cyprus in any reunification solution in order to avoid an ethnic 'clash'. In short, nothing to do with population precentages. Well, if this is going to be a precondition, then what voice would the Marionite Cypriots and Armenian Cypriots have in such a setup? If there is to be no majority at the governing level by ANY population group, then the Armenian Cypriots and Marionite Cypriots must have their equal voice. That would mean 25% for each...

It looks like you just both shot yourselves in the foot...

Armenians + Maronites + GCs = 75%

TCs = 25%

Makes the London/Zurich agreements seem like utopia! :lol:
