Bottom line... go with a Canon or Nikon. Sony are not up to scratch with these makes yet!

I have a Canon 350D and it is brilliant!

The nixon D40 (forget about the 40X) is a gresat camera - If you can go up a bit look at the nikon D200 as this is great.

Good right up here on the D40

As a matter of interest norfy are you aware that Sony supplies most of the CCD's for other digital camera makes so I wouldn't say that Sony are not up to speed .

Sony is good also - Have look at them but if had money would go for new Nikon D300.

Actually, I think the Sony uses the Nikon CCD... :oops:

I doubt it very much Grumps ~ as they are a major manufacturer of CCD's I feel it would be highly unlikely they would use another companies products when most of the other digital camera manufacturers are using theirs.
