well, thats in the CYPRIOT PATRONE department... nothing to do with Russian mafia. They have a shortage of prostitutes back home... so there is a conflict of interests

"They spoke Russian" and "They were Russians" is kinda have a different meaning... first option usually means that they were foreigners speaking Russian... and by simply using logic the only "foreigners" speaking Russian you can find in Paphos are PONTIANS involved in construction business. Now since they crossed each other's way i could only speculate but someone could "call" a "team" from Greece to fly and scare the poor guy... Zplate car, black hoods, russian speaking? hey... u know that to fly from Russia you need a visa or an invitation, anyway, is not that easy to just get a ticket and fly... and local Russian mafia? No way, no one would do this...

So, the Pontian developer pulls some strings in the "mother" Greece, gets few "brothers" flown in..1 hour flight, no visa, straight forward... get rental car, kidnap, scare the guy...fly back, job done

Reading the Cyprus Mail today (see below), I am so disappointed that the 'Mafia' and or 'illegalities' exist in the RoC too. How disappointing. Those that live in glass houses........
