Zan,

please let me answer that with a question to you, and if you answer correctly I will also give you a response.

What will the Turks lose by letting the 15 Mln Kurds have partnership in Turkey?

Answer that mate and you will have your answer.

For those that have not noticed...There are two Cypriot people on the island and one of them is TC and the other GC......Cypriots in total......When Makarios said that had Trkey not intervened then their would not have been a single Turkish Cypriot left on alive on the island he meant that and not a single Cypriot.

When Makarios said? :-) Is this the only thing you can do? Qouting what others said 40 years ago? As long as you guys live in that world....THE PAST.......dont get me wrong.....nobody is asking you to forget.....but reffering to it all the time will not improve your lives and that of others. By the way....if you start talking about the past......do it for both sides.

Hold on their mate....One minute you stated that there are only Cypriots and now "Do it for both sides".......Not having a go but can you see the dilemma?

There are plenty that have done a fantastic job representing your side my friend...It is us that needs representation now. I have never dismissed what happened to you anyway but have always faced great disrespect for what happened to us.

The fact, also, that what happened 40 years ago is what the GCs are living off and what we have been suffering from is a significant matter here. We can't just stand in the middle of the room and wonder how we got here. People like Miltiades is willing to accept the wrongs that were done back then that he is reaping from but we don't. We have been under siege for those 40 years...What has changed???

What will I lose?

Access to my ancestral village in the Morphou area for ever. Loss of the place where I grew up, Famagusta. Loss of access and right to live in the place which I know best in Cyprus, the Famagusta district. Limited right to move freely about the island. I suspect that we will have one third of the island under the same regime as the no go areas from 1963 till 2003 where GCs are not permitted to go and are definitely not welcome.

OK so I will have the other two thirds of the island to be free in. But that will be under constant threat of things being deadlocked by some kind of Veto. Which leads me to dispute the two thirds one third proportions of territory. If the loss will be a loss might as well minimise it to the smallest possible amount of territory.
