Turkey's attempts to ally with anti-coupist forces

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby umit07 » Thu Mar 13, 2008 10:16 pm

Well Phoenix this is a matter of speculation. TC's don't want to become a part of Turkey nor do they want to become a part of the RoC. We are left in odd situation in the midle of things that does not mean that we are desperate for any soln. as long as our terms are not met there is no deal. Being treated like the "chosen" ones is so much better than being forced to live in cantons on 3% of the island.

But who do you think is working towards what the TCs want? ...

.... you are the forgotten people.

It's what Turkey wants that counts .....

At least with the RoC you would have had your Democratic voice, and be part of Europe.

Phoenix to most TC's being part of Europe means only getting a RoC id card and being able to travel through Europe freely. To most it means being able to go to the UK for a free education or for a job. For this they don't need to be part of the RoC. I don't know if you have gone crazy or are you trying to imply that TC's actually want th sort of soln you do????? I don't think so! If TC's struck a deal with GC's there would be no power on this earth to stop it from becoming reality. Have they yet, "NO" they haven't!

You exaggerate your worth and have missed my point ... :)

TCs do not get a say in their future any more. ..

The decision lies with Turkey ... and what the RoC decide to accept.

If so why don't you go knock on Turkeys door? Instead of talking with Talat or Denktash for years. Turkey does not recognise the RoC and will never engage in any sort of diplomatic talks with them. That is a fact. We do decide n our own future Phoenix I think the Annan plan referandum was a sign of that. Now any proposed soln. will once again go through seprate referandums on both sides.
