little rain and brown fields? Which one do you prefer? I was watching the news a while ago about the rains in UK and north France and I was thinking it is nice that we had a nice summer day here today! But then I also thought that there they have nice green fields and no water shortages! :P

Despite all the rain, because of poor maintenance and minimal investment in renewals ... you would be surprised how regular hose pipe bans are in the UK. Also our annual water bill is over £700

Again, water saving measures were in place in France when we went last Summer ... even though we stayed in Normandy which is quite north.

Despite Cyprus' southerliness it is coping remarkably well with the lower rainfalls ....

the green is so much prettier. green is life. brown is.... all dry and ....brown.... while green is alive and cool. green is always better.

recently someone sent me a photo of thier house in CY, and i thought hiow ugly the landscape was because it was all brown.
but then i come from a green land, and we don't have a water shortage.

We have green, green, green all around us at the moment and the garden and surrounding fields are alive with birds and their magical songs… I watched a kestrel suspended as if on string at the end of our garden this afternoon before plunging on its unfortunate prey… a cheeky robin watched me as I weeded the garden and Scoops owls cried out from my (newly connected) power cables this evening…
