I passed 3 kites caught on power lines when we left. There were a lot of people opposite the beach in what looked like a large car park (why go to Kourion beach if you don't sit by the sea and all sit in a big car park! :? ) who were flying the kites very close to the lines. :roll:

It seems somewhat obvious to keep away from them! :roll:

Mind you I was kite flying in Zygi a couple of years ago… we’d added loads of extra string and when it inevitably broke in the strong winds it stretched across the whole village… we started to reel it in but gave up and abandoned the kite when we found a large part of it wrapped around power cables… :oops:

I doubt if all the Cypriots that they are Christian Orthodox had only vegetables today and no meat or animal products.
