What is it?

Am I to assume from the sudden arrival of this proboscis that the plant is a male :-) ? It has suddenly appeared from the centre of the Alo Vera (?) plant.

Will it flower later?

What a beautiful specimen :D

I don't know if Aloe plants are "Perfect" or "Imperfect" in the sex of their flowering, but despite its impressive display you would not be able to tell if it is male or female yet anyway .... not until the flowers appear.

If Aloe is "Perfect" (like geraniums etc) it will have both male and female organs in the flowers.

If Aloe is "Imperfect" (like melons etc) it will have either male or female parts in the flowers.

That's when you can tell if is a boy or a girl. :D

Either way I think they only flower when they are getting on a bit in age ... so if it is rich and male .... marry it

 Like your assumption Lana mou

It does looks like your plant is about to flower, Lana.
It resembles the one in our garden and when that bloomed we had lovely bright orange flowers for months - gorgeous :D :D
Enjoy

I have a sneaky feeling that what you have there is not an Aloe Vera, but a Yucca "Gloriosa"
I had one identical to that in the UK, which flowered each year after reaching a certain age. If the ends of the leaves are really sharp, then it probably IS a Yucca, whereas Aloe Vera tend to be less viscious!
Enjoy the flowers - they're spectacular, and have a pleasant scent too.
