I'm in the process of creating a Wiki site for wines available in Cyprus and would like to find a few beta testers. I would prefer people who like wine and are reasonably familiar with Wikipedia.

I have not started to seriously add any wines, although I've added a couple of trial pages for Othello and Dionysos plus a link from the Othello page to Keo. I would request beta testers to use the site as it is intended, adding a few wines of their own preference with possible links to producers/importers etc. All comments may be made in the Discussion page for each wine (or any other page): I think you may have to register to use (rather than view) the site and I request you click the signature icon after adding any discussion or edit. This will give your chosen nickname, rather than your IP no.

Thanks, but really I'm not here to stay. I read through some of the recent threads during my visit and they got my back up just as much as before, which was why I left. I'm so sorry that a minority can be so destructive to any pleasure in participating in a forum. I'll come back from time to time just to monitor whether the situation has improved (I'm the eternal optimist :-)

)

In the meantime, I did hope that there may be a few wine enthusiasts amongst the more sober members here who may like to participate in building up this database of wines that can be found on this island.

Hi Devil,
As a wine lover l will certainly look at the site.
Reading your comments above l am amazed sometimes at what l read too.
Having worked as a nurse for 29 years, l can say l have seen life......... but being here in Cyprus and looking on these sites for 3 years now nothing surprises me anymore. l believe that some people post and reply because they are unable to say these things on a face to face basis.
Small minded and hidden from view they wil continue their sad lives just winding people up for pleasure.

Why not? But please keep it non-political. I suggest you put the prices in TL so that it is obvious.

Personally I do not think it sensitive nor appropriate to promote stolen or illegally acquired goods on the forum ....
