In the early hours of Sunday morning David Haye, wearing shorts emblazoned with the flags of the TRNC and St. George, became the undisputed cruiserweight champion of the world adding the WBO to his WBC and WBA belts.

Being introduced by the Master of Ceremonies to a world-wide tv audience as "living in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus", David Haye took only two rounds to demolish the challenger, Enzo Maccarinelli.

In the post-fight interview David went on to extol the virtues of living and training in the TRNC ... he probably did more in 15 minutes to promote tourism to this country than the Minister has done since he's been in office.
