what does Carnival have to do with Easter? are they linked?
and can anyone explain why there are two seperate Easter's, depending on which Christian religion one believes in?

ok, since there are no takers on my question, i did a little research on my own, and discovered the greek orthodox easter is based on the Julian calendar, while us western christians are based on the Gregorian calendar. not exactly sure what that means, but that is my next research project.
so does that mean that Carnival is the last big hurrah before Lent?
