I drove to Sydney from Melb and back non stop within 20 hrs....roughly 2100 kms

another time Melb to Surfers, QLD, 2200 clicks non stop, well only fuel stops...

I love driving, and even more when on my own, no passengers...

There is just the small question of the English Channel and the Aegean Sea in the way…
:?

Nice trucking Boom

A few nights ago I looked again for the Piraeus - Limassol Car Ferry. Still suspended but I hear it may run this summer. I would so like to do this to get away from these damned airline rip-off merchants.

Cheers Bill, just love driving, and fast driving at that...

I am currently celebrating, on the quite, my 5th driving suspension, currently at 3 months and the time before that 9 months...

But all that with my Victorian license...I have numerous state licenses...ahh plenty of ways of skinning a fox...

PS...mind you driving is proving to be an expensive exercise with all these damn get quick sceeming Arabs...

Boomerang , you should be ashamed of your self , more so since you give the impression of being thoroughly proud of being a lousy and a dangerous bloody driver !! Let me tell you young man , there is more than one way to kiss your arse good bye and let the maggots eat your balls. Grow up and start driving safely without endangering my life and the lives of my loved ones , you may think its cool to be f..ng stupid but its much cooler 6 ft under mate.
Sorry to tell you off but you know I'm right !!

Milti driving fast does not equate of being a bad and a louzy driver...Just look at the autobahns in Germany...no speed limit restrictions...

PS...I am not as young as you might think I am...

No excuses B........, you are only born once, and you have loved ones. Dont be selfish.

Two merchant navy powers of the EU, Greece and Cyprus and they cannot manage a dcent ferry link between them! This has been a problem since the stopping of the ferry service some years ago. Now you have a choice between a below waterline cabin on the Louis Princess Marissa or a passage on the RORO ships if and when they decide to take passengers with no vehicles. A daily ferry link Rhodos, or Sitia, to Cyprus should be a number one priority. It is total nonsense not tbe be ablt to take a vehicle or even a caravan to Cyprus.

I understand that the ferry I referred to above, Piraeus - Limassol, went on to Israel, which given the security situation in this latter place is why the ferry stopped running.

(Members of the northern community will know that there is a regular ferry sevice to and from the RoT to the occupied areas.)
