Trying to book a flight to Cyprus , Larnaca or Paphos on Thursday 20th March , coming back on March 26th .
British Airways are taking the piss charging £717.60 for a flight taking off at 8.30 am and returning late afternoon on Wed 26th.
Cyprus Airways , usually also rather expensive are charging for the same flight times ie take off 8.45 am and depart at 17.45 from Larnaca back to Heathrow £333.70 !!! The difference is HUGE £383.90 more than Cyprus Airways !!! BRITISH AIRWAYS TAKE NOTE !!
How on earth can you justify charging more than DOUBLE for the same flight !! These jokers ought to be told that they are taking the piss , I will most certainly email them and tell them so !! What a load of Plonkers !!!

Milti just get in your car and drive for gods sake...I often drive to Sydney no stop...

I drove to Sydney from Melb and back non stop within 20 hrs....roughly 2100 kms

another time Melb to Surfers, QLD, 2200 clicks non stop, well only fuel stops...

I love driving, and even more when on my own, no passengers...

There is just the small question of the English Channel and the Aegean Sea in the way…

A few nights ago I looked again for the Piraeus - Limassol Car Ferry. Still suspended but I hear it may run this summer. I would so like to do this to get away from these damned airline rip-off merchants.

I am currently celebrating, on the quite, my 5th driving suspension, currently at 3 months and the time before that 9 months...

But all that with my Victorian license...I have numerous state licenses...ahh plenty of ways of skinning a fox...

PS...mind you driving is proving to be an expensive exercise with all these damn get quick sceeming Arabs...

Milti driving fast does not equate of being a bad and a louzy driver...Just look at the autobahns in Germany...no speed limit restrictions...

Boomerang , on your own admission you have had 5 driving bans .
Do not equate German authobans with Cypru's motorways , also do take into account that German drivers are on the top f the list of good drivers and Cypriots somewhere down the bottom.
Unless you drive in a sensible , considerate to other road users manner then you are a bad driver.Do not confuse speed with good driving skills like all Cypriots do. I do not want to sound too harsh but it is speed that is responsible with most road deaths in Cyprus and worst of all it is the failure to understand or the dismisal of the risks involved in driving fast and the danger that innocent road users are put under , that makes Cypriots the worst drivers in Europe.
Drive sensibly and live to drive another day ! The graveyards are full of "fast" drivers !!

Well don;t book with BA then and find someone else. Why moan about it?

Now dont tell me you are one of those people who get annoyed when any criticism of anything containing the word British is made.
Listen Plonker. If I want to "moan" at flight "rip-off prices" charged by BA or any other airline I do so I dont need a smart arse telling me to stop complaining.

2...I am Australian ...we have wide empty spaces and very wide roads...not living on top of each other
3...we are better drivers than the Germans

I owned 4 types of cars in life, apart from company cars
Rx3 12A...engine modified...peripheral ported
Rx4 13B...engine modified...bridge ported
Rx7 12...engine modified...bridge ported
Jeep 4.7 V8...current

and numerous bikes...the last one wiped off, due to fuckwits on the road

Thanks for that , Monarch have flights at round about the £200 mark but none on the 20th. I have valid reasons why I particularly must travel on the 20th and Im about to book Cyprus Airways. It appears that most "cheap airlines " have flights either on Wednesdays or Sundays !!

Thanks for that , Monarch have flights at round about the £200 mark but none on the 20th. I have valid reasons why I particularly must travel on the 20th and Im about to book Cyprus Airways. It appears that most "cheap airlines " have flights either on Wednesdays or Sundays !!

Wednesdays and Sundays are the holiday changeover days – avoid the airports at all costs!

Bans or suspensions , I think are one and the same . Either a ban or a suspension was placed against you for violating some traffic law , in your case I believe you said because of spped. It does not matter whether you drive a Lamborgini Diablo or a pushbike .Speed kills in Cyprus and it does so every where else. Please mate dont try and sell us the notion that speed on the roads is cool and above all safe .
All the best mate just remember one thing.Your life does not belong to you to do as you like with it the minute that you have loved ones who would be traumatised for life should any thing happen to you.
I have always been a Jaguar driver , I was in the Motor Trade a few years back where I had the opportunity to drive all sorts of cars , I always considered my self a careful driver driven my natural instinct to get back to my wife and kids safe and well .

Milti I do not live in Cyprus...so please kindly stop refering as if I was...I have been living in OZ the last 42 odd years...

Speed does not kill...booze kills...drugs kill...stupid drivers kill...badly maintain cars kill

I usually lose points for going over the speed limit by 10 clicks, and you you only get 12 that last 3 years...they accumilate...There has been a few high speed speeding tickets here and there but always out in the bush with just me and the cops around...

Mind you if you get caught with over 30kms over the speed limit, automatic 3 months suspension, 60 kkms over the speed limit 6 months or court case... back in 95 driving on the freeway, easern freeway that is, clocked at 210, at 3 in the morning, just me and the cops...that was 9 months handed down by the court...the bastards...Thank god for other state licences

Regarding suspensions and bans...big difference

1...supsension you get the license back...
2...ban/cancelation...you sit for your license again and start with probation for 3 years...
