RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A DECENT RESTAURANT IN KYRENIA?

Postby Bucksboy » Sat Mar 08, 2008 9:53 am

Have to visit Kyrenia in a couple of weeks time and looking for a proper restaurant that serves Mediterranean style home made food.
Any ideas?

The Ambiance - Oooh..........very posh!!! "Messina " is a top notch fish restaurant, Niazzis in the harbour serves full mezze (lots of small dishes) follwed by a meat or fish dish. There are also lots of smaller restaurants dotted around, where you can get Pide, and lots of other local dishes. Where are you staying?

Actually - it is a very nice place - I was only teasing!!

I love Niazzis though - they cook the meat and fish in the main restaurant on a huge grill - and they have a help yourself soft whippy icecream machine next to the dessert table - lovely!!!!!

Ask the chief carpetbagger here, he loves his grub.

Tess,
Not actually staying over. Only there for the long day to take two Cypriot neighbours to see their relations. Want to escape for a bit on my own and to have a bite to eat. I have heard of Niazzis but I also heard that is has gone down hill a little. Is that so or do you think I have been misimformed? Tess, is it only mezze?
Is the Messina close to the harbour too?
Thanks :D

Efes? - no, not to my taste ( I like guinness) the only lager style beer I like is Keo which you can't get here. So I usually have wine or gin and tonic (well, someones got to) !!
