The Ambiance - Oooh..........very posh!!!
Tess

Well, he specified ‘a proper restaurant’…

Actually - it is a very nice place - I was only teasing!!

I love Niazzis though - they cook the meat and fish in the main restaurant on a huge grill - and they have a help yourself soft whippy icecream machine next to the dessert table - lovely!!!!!
Tess

And lashings of Efes?

Efes? - no, not to my taste ( I like guinness) the only lager style beer I like is Keo which you can't get here. So I usually have wine or gin and tonic (well, someones got to) !!
8)

Guinness – do you finish the evening with a black tide-mark around your lips then? :x

I agree that the Ambiance is far too far to walk!!! The last time I went to Niazzis was about 4 mths ago - and it was very good. They have a full menu, steaks, fish and chicken etc- it's just that they are famous for the mezze and full kebap. A very tasteful restoration has been made on the old covered market in Kyrenia just off the high street (near the harbour) and they offer local specialities in season - such as molohiye and kolokas. Afiyet olsun !!!!

My recommendations for a decent restaurant in Kyrenia is one that has closed in protest to the presence of the Turkish troops.

Well done Tess,

She certainly possesses unenviable skills at turning around uninvolved questions to show her very obvious xenophobia.
My advice.......by pass her.
