Council tax at 260 Sterling a month! Aman!!! I forgot that one, been away from the UK too long. In Greece it is based on house floor area and for 200 square meters it comes to 48 Euro every two months, charged on your electricity bill.

Council Tax is the annual community charge that is levied to every house and can be paid on a monthly basis.
It is divided into about 5 bands I think and even the cheapest can work out at a very expensive sum. There are discounts available for single households and people receiving benefit and the elderly etc. but the charge is a constant thorn in the flesh of every Brit resident and usually increases every year beyond the rate of inflation.

.... where you some kind of civil servant, accountant or something exciting along those lines, perhaps? :?

No darling....nothing so exciting....just a humble rent boy :D
Coincidentally, It's "were" not where.

OK Sophie 1 less of the insults. It was meant to show how cheap Cyprus is compared to the UK.
I suggest if you have nothing to add,go shopping or nip over to the Cyprus problem.

Why?? Do you remember how big uk is? why don't you compare the population instead or even wages??? Cyprus is not cheap honey every one knows that, you don't have to type out a list of your out goings. Why do you not send your monthly outgoings to Australia?? Hey there you go perfect...
