Charming Courteous Cypriots ... The Nice Thread!

Postby Oracle » Fri Mar 07, 2008 11:56 am

I never fail to be amazed by small acts of kindness that seem to happen daily and without being sought.

Today, I asked an Official just for some information which they gave me, and it was sufficient for my needs.

But they want one step further, without my asking, and made a phone call on my behalf to start off the next process, which I could have done myself from home ....

I then got a big smile, and a wave of the hand to say it was nothing ...

How altruistic is that?

Let's make each other happy on this thread, by recalling little acts of kindness ..... :D

Last year on leaving a chemist in Limassol my wife dropped a credit card in the road.A day passed until she noticed it was missing.Under normal circumstances she would of cancelled the card via a phone call, but as we were Cyprus she felt no real panic to do so.
On return to the chemist true to form the credit card had been handed in by a young Cypriot.

I dropped my mobile phone in the carpark of a busy hotel - and it was handed in by a gardener. When my friend got carried away and bought a bit too much shopping to carry, the shopkeepers son gave her a lift home..................the list is endless!!!

No need to apologise ... these things have a way of getting passed on.

The expat may have been influenced by the positive Cypriot Zeitgeist. :D
