Olives don't form part of any Cypriot main dish and as you'll already know they're either in the salad or on their own... with the exception of eliobitta which isn't a dish but a sugarless cake.

There's a Greek dish that contains olives but I can't remember the name... Nikitas would probably know it.

Yes Lena ..... eat the olives ....Exactly .... we eat the olives!

Since when did Cypriots have to turn olives into a"dish"?

Come back from the UK before they spoil you completely

Ever have apple pie?????

Some olives go into pies (eliotpitta - excuse phonetic spelling)
Some olives go into drinks
Some olives are just 'eaten'
That is the beauty about some things being so versatile - and not just to be eaten raw

Take elioti, Lena, but with orange juice and cilantro, not mint. Okay, it's not a "dish" per say, but if she likes olives, then she'll love this ... that is, of course, if she doesn't mind the carbs. If you want, I'll post the recipe. It's easy to make.
