Water Cuts tomorrow

Postby Niki » Thu Mar 06, 2008 10:12 am

My friend heard on the news this morning that the water cuts will be starting tomorrow for 6 hours each day. Does anyone know more...times etc?

I also got it from good authority that the water cuts are about to start from Monday. Heard it is going to be one or two days per week to start with.
Yet the building goes on and they are still hosing down all this newly laid concrete.
My neighbour still insists on hosing down her balcony two or three times a week too. She won't care as she has a three tonne extra storage tank behind the house.

That doesn't look like a problem, unless you are sitting in water all day long... that is if you're a fish

She may be getting her water from a bore hole, and not mains water.

Although it still doesn't make it right!

It's taken longer to arrive than I anticipated, but rather like death and taxes - unavoidable!

Back to the good old days of the 90's water cuts every other day all day throughout the 4-5 months of the warmer part of the year!

I know where you can get small solar powered desalinators and become independent of the water company. But considering people have strong masochist streak in them they will go on suffering even if Cyprus is surrounded by plenty of sea water.
