Purdey,I get on very well with Jews,as we've got a Reform Jewish congregation just up the road from my local parish church.I also get on very well with Muslims,especially Somalis from Somaliland.Their work ethics are very similar to the Protestant work ethic.

DT.,what's wrong with suggesting that the S.B.A.s can be converted into British colonies? There's still quite a few British colonies ranging from St. Helena & the Turks & Caicos Islands through to the Pitcairn Islands.

As for the U.S. bases in the U.K.,they're still legally under British military administration,even though the military personnel come de facto under U.S. military law.There's no civilian population who live there,apart from some of the service persons' families.

They can't be converted into British colonies because the sovereign govt of Cyprus will not permit it. This is a nonsense notion.

DT.,that's all the more reason why the British Government should BUY them,then there wouldn't be any need to ask the Cypriot Government for permission to convert the S.B.A.s into British colonies.
