They can't be converted into British colonies because the sovereign govt of Cyprus will not permit it. This is a nonsense notion.

DT.,that's all the more reason why the British Government should BUY them, then there wouldn't be any need to ask the Cypriot Government for permission to convert the S.B.A.s into British colonies.

Maybe the British Government can buy the Moon and convert it into a British colony

Oracle, that's a crackpot idea in the same way that the Nazi Pope of Rome says that his false 'Church' is the only true Christian Church!

Cerdit where credits due! There are 2 chippies in my home town. Both have been owned by Greek Cypriots since I can remeber (early 80s) and they both do a mean kebab! Take the compliment as it was intended! :)

Dear old Dildo Baggins! (Aidan)

Come on! You've got kebab takeaways in Wellington, haven't you?

Are they run by Taigs (who you have to admit have natural rythm), or by Turkish Cypriots?

Thinking about it...... as you are about as far away from Cyprus as one

could get without leaving earth, sooooo, does one give a flying fuck at a

rolling doughnut?

Perhaps we could start a new thread called Bitter Nuisancespastics!!

And then get it banned!

I rest my case, m'lud.

Aidan, where did you read that countries can go to other countries, buy some land and then call it a colony?

If I sell my house to the Moldavian Govt can it be made into a colony?

Just out of curiosity. What do you make of the Greek Orthodox church?

DT.,the Orthodox Churches have traditionally been very close to Protestantism, considering that the Pope of Rome's bigoted cult is hated in most Orthodox countries, especially Greece & Russia. In effect, you can regard the Orthodox Churches as being very Protestant. This includes the Coptic Church of Egypt (whose Pope,Shenouda III is the Patriarch of Alexandria as well as the Pope of Egypt). The Coptic Church is in full communion with the Anglican Church.
