Here we go with the generalised anti-Cypriot stuff again .... Can't defend his SBA views any longer, so bash the natives instead.

DT.,what's wrong with suggesting that the S.B.A.s can be converted into British colonies? There's still quite a few British colonies ranging from St. Helena & the Turks & Caicos Islands through to the Pitcairn Islands.

As for the U.S. bases in the U.K.,they're still legally under British military administration, even though the military personnel come de facto under U.S. military law. There's no civilian population who live there, apart from some of the service persons' families.

They can't be converted into British colonies because the sovereign govt of Cyprus will not permit it. This is a nonsense notion.

Just heard that the British government has approved an application by the Cypriot government to be allowed to establish Cypriot bases in the UK , rent free , a site in Brixton has been earmarked but so so far no Cypriot soldier has accepted the offer to become a Brixtonian !! What a shit hole , no wonder the British dont want to let go of Cyprus !!!

There are more 'Cypriots' in the UK than in Cyprus anyway, and as far as I'm concerned they're more than welcome. They make a mean kebab ;)

Murf , listen mate , there are very few Cypriots in the Kebab business in the UK !! Most Kebab t/as are Kurdish or Turkish owned .
The estimated number of Cypriots in the UK is about 300 thousand , so about less than half of Cypriots living in Cyprus.
The Cypriots in the UK are well received because they blend in , dont wear VRAKAS AND BOINES , and are clean shaven !!!
Vrakas and boines is what our grand parents used to wear , unlike your average Asian who dresses in exactly the same fashion that his ancestors of the stone age dressed in and before the razor blade was discovered !!

DT.,that's all the more reason why the British Government should BUY them, then there wouldn't be any need to ask the Cypriot Government for permission to convert the S.B.A.s into British colonies.
