...if you are living in Crete, british and still alive, you must be all right; welcome and enjoy!

One thing is for sure, the British are not hated in Crete. There are many bonds, that unite them both and with others.

Yes OK, but don't you live there? can't imagine anyone living in such a country, if they feel so strongly about their civility.

Periodic forays into the realm of the decadent society of the Brits are a necessary inconvenience to me, my home (although now under occupation) is in the fertile pastures of the Karpas Peninsula and I am therefore unable to reside there.

Fortunately (for me) I have a peripatetic vocation which enables me to observe closely those events which are quite remote from public view, the practise of 'Obscurantism' is particularly abhorrent to me and I do strive to encourage others to THINK about world affairs, failure to do so can only lead to a complete reliance on those who seek to deceive, (I refer of course to Politicians, they who are renowned for their chicanery yet strangely enough seem to be able to manipulate the masses in whatever manner they see fit) I often experience moments when I recoil in horror upon seeing the devastation resulting from obvious lies, I DO have a great deal of sympathy for the Brits BUT, I cannot accept their seemingly undying faith in the integrity of those who have (time and time again) been proven to be corrupt, immoral, dishonest 'Ad Infinitum' , it just does not make sense to me.

Thank you for your welcoming pm, may I extend my best wishes to you and yours?.

Thank You. :D

Actually my friend, having been closely in touch with the devastation perpetrated by the British in many lands in recent times (particularly Libya where the remains of Sirte MUST be seen as a disgrace to humanity), I am compelled to suggest that the British are hated throughout the civilised world.

I would also add that I do not consider the UK to be anything of a 'Yardstick' worthy of comparison to 'Civilisation'

Really hate what the rebels did to Qaddafi in the end. Very graphic and deplorable, and the man deserved a fair trial at least.

But I am sure you would agree, that it is good to see the Libyans free and in charge of their own destiny after so many years.

 Don't be silly.
