As ZoC has rightly pointed out there is a lingering resentment of the colonial past for valid reasons ( and I am Brit immigrant here) but that is seldom translated into any problems for the British unless they come across with any sort of superiority complex.
Some of the biggest resentment is (quite rightly) reserved for the Carpet B*ggers (mostly Brits)who have bought what is legally Greek Speaking Cypriot owned property and the tourists who stay in the north and thus seen as supporting the illegal occupation by the Tur*s and their puppet regime.
