I know Serhat in person....I knew him before he moved to UK...
He pays a heavy price for being an open minded journalist..he cannot come to north Cyprus..
He would get arrested if he did.

what would he get arrested for iceman?

To my knowledge there were court cases filed against him for the articles he wrote during the arrest of Sener Levent and some other journalsts from Africa Newspaper...
He used to visit ROC to meet his family in Pyla before the checkpoints opened...Not sure if he can visit north now..

I remember Serhat writing from The North not so long ago.
I think Turkey decided it would be too prickly to proceed with charges against a journalist living in London and writing in Cyprus...

And if it was an intimidation tactic, it obviously didn't work...
