"Talking to Turkish Cypriots" is in fact absolutely useless for the solution of the Cyprus Problem. What counts is the balance of power and the various interests of those that can have some influence.

I think that the democratically elected heads of the two principal communities in Cyprus might be said to have just a little bit of influence.

The president of Cyprus does have some influence because Cyprus is a UN and EU member. What influence does Talat have? He will do whatever Ankara tells him to do.

Have the two wives been democratically elected? :?

.... I can understand Elsi may have been Democratically elected .... but not that other woman, Oya, who's husband even, has not been Democratically elected!

Well, well .... now it all makes sense!

How convenient to ship over 40,000 Turkish troops to guard your own home territory then!

1) He must be very happy to be back in his home, lets hope he offers the same courtesy to his counterparty.
2) Were did he live while a refugee?
3) SUrely he was a refugee electrical engineer rather than a leader. Unlike Christofias who is a refugee president of an EU country.

Halil,

I'm still waiting for a picture of the "Presidential Palace" that Talat uses.

Can you post one please.

So you would support making excuses and not meting just like the papadops?
