Actually it's mainly the Cypriots that are the problem.
To put it in her words ~ they are lying, two faced, status conscious, money grabbing and thoughtless with scant regard for anyone else except themselves unless they want something ~~~ which I will admit with some Cypriots we have come across is in part perfectly true.
As you can imagine she doesn't have many friends ~ which is a shame really and even the smallest problems seem to get magnified out of proportion .

I am sorry to hear that your wife feels so bad about Cypriots and living in Cyprus. So is it final that you are leaving Cyprus? How come she doesnt have any friends? What do you want Bill? Do you want to leave too?
Hi Lena
No ~ I will not be leaving Cyprus I've invested to much to just up and leave without giving it a fairly long trial.
Why she doesn't have friends ? ~ absolutely no idea but it's not something that's new as she didn't mix very well in the UK so coming to Cyprus seemed the ideal solution and she would ( I thought ) have more friends.
Mind you we did live in central London which can be a very unfriendly place as everyone keeps themselves very much to themselves.
I don't have a problem making friends and have lots across the island ~ mostly Cypriots
What do I want ~ well obviously to stay in Cyprus ~ I thought I'd almost cut my ties with the UK especially when I left an extremely well paid job to be here
I looked at the weather forecast for the UK ( south east ) this morning and see that the 10 day forecast is freezing and gales which is no comparison to the sun streaming in through the open window ~ the birds chirping merrily away and the flowers in bloom everywhere that I can experience today in Cyprus ~ I'm not exactly thrilled at the idea of going back to the UK even though it's just for a couple of months.
So there you are Lena ~~ you haven't got rid of me yet
