Bill,
Moving to Cyprus is on my agenda too. In two years time I will retire, if not before. My English wife is very keen to move there. Can you pin point one major factor which changed your wifes mind. I am fearful for my wifes sake and not mine. Her desire to move there seems on occasion stronger than mine. So I will rent first and then purchase/build a home. A PM will do.

Regards

Actually it's mainly the Cypriots that are the problem.

To put it in her words ~ they are lying, two faced, status conscious, money grabbing and thoughtless with scant regard for anyone else except themselves unless they want something ~~~ which I will admit with some Cypriots we have come across is in part perfectly true.

As you can imagine she doesn't have many friends ~ which is a shame really and even the smallest problems seem to get magnified out of proportion .

Bill

I am sorry to hear that your wife feels so bad about Cypriots and living in Cyprus. So is it final that you are leaving Cyprus? How come she doesnt have any friends? What do you want Bill? Do you want to leave too?

Good luck

No not brave ~ just truthful .

As for Italy ~ nice place for a holiday but not to live ~ far to expensive  .

We will be holidaying there again this year ( possibly ) but this time I hope to take my car over and do some serious travelling around which may include karma's country ~ I hope she's prepared  .

I've booked the tickets to go back this Thursday ~~ only for a few weeks holiday mind you

I'm hopeful that the reality of being back in the UK will hit her hard and she will want to return to Cyprus ASAP.

She certainly has been a miserable bitch since we moved here ~ constantly complaining and moaning .

At the very latest I will return at the beginning of May ~ with or without her but she's always welcome to pop over for her holidays if she won't return

We will wait and see what happens ~ one thing is certain I've no wish to keep her here against her wishes .

Bill

Keep your vision in sight Bill, with or without!

I'm taking my 2 girls back to the UK for the first time in a couple of weeks just for 4 nights. They can't wait, I'm dreading it. Apart from seeing my bestest friend, lots of wine and laughter. :D

It was just beautiful in Cyprus today. Blue sky, sun, green fields, fresh air! Such a privilege to be here.
