Yep ~ especially with the bad weather ( gales etc ) coming soon, although it will take more than a couple of weeks I guess.

If we had moved here without doing much research or a "on the spur of the moment " decision I could understand the problem .

We bought our place here 14 years ago and it was our plan for the future but it hasn't really been the success that we thought it would be ~or should I say she hoped.

Still never mind eh ~~ we will see what happens .

Shes actually been talking about going to live in Italy :? as she really enjoyed our long break there last year ~~ as they say the grass is always greener etc

At least I'll get decent internet speeds in the UK

Bill,
Moving to Cyprus is on my agenda too. In two years time I will retire, if not before. My English wife is very keen to move there. Can you pin point one major factor which changed your wifes mind. I am fearful for my wifes sake and not mine. Her desire to move there seems on occasion stronger than mine. So I will rent first and then purchase/build a home. A PM will do.

Regards

Tell her there's plenty of Greek men to be had over there Deniz.

When Jehovahs witnesses would knock on my door Saturday mornings and ask me if I wanted salvation..........................oh why do I bother.

I have had the same experience with Jehovas,I told them I was Jewish.
I invited them in for a tea and we chatted.
Nice people...

Actually it's mainly the Cypriots that are the problem.

To put it in her words ~ they are lying, two faced, status conscious, money grabbing and thoughtless with scant regard for anyone else except themselves unless they want something ~~~ which I will admit with some Cypriots we have come across is in part perfectly true.

As you can imagine she doesn't have many friends ~ which is a shame really and even the smallest problems seem to get magnified out of proportion .

Oh dear,

I am sorry to hear that. That is more insurmountable than any other problem I had in mind. I dare not ask her to try the North, the place is more compact and the expats there seem to be rather friendly. Even the TCs.

It will have to be 'Bella Italia' then. Thanks for the reply. Rather brave not to PM it. Watch out for the flack.

Good luck
