Yes the none Cypriots among us do not fully understand the Cypriot mentality,I believe not all Cypriots understand the ever changing mentality of their own people.
I know the vast majority of British do not understand our own mentality,or in this day and age don't want to know. That's why they up sticks and head for Cyprus.

Fine ...

But once they get here ..... they just want to change things to be more like the things they were familiar with back home ...

Which they were trying to get away from in the first place ...

Be persistent and they will change. The people that persist in Cyprus changing normally leave. I do not want Cyprus to change, I want to control my own life and not a country, let politicians do that.

Their home is likely to be similar to their UK home, well mine is anyway, but this is what makes them comfortable. I am completely different to what I was in the UK. I don't go to those silly things many people in Cyprus do (brothles being one of them), but I am still the same person, with the same ethics and principles. I just learned to convey myself to the general Cypriot population.

The long and short of this topic Phoenix,is you will never give credit to the likes of me and my family. You believe we are only in Cyprus to rape the country and line are own pockets. We have made efforts to speak the language, live with Cypriots work with Cypriots and create jobs and wealth for Cypriots.
The likes of yourself will never realise we do not all wear the same label...

My brother did engineering is I know. It stands for Computer Numerical Control. It's a machine that creates things for you just by using 3D software like AutoCAD. You design it in the virtual world, and it creates it in the real world using materials such a wood, plastic and all sorts. They tend to be quite expensive machines, I used one a number of times. 3D Scanner does the opposite, it scans real things and put them in the digital world.

Imagine designing with a computer at one end and getting the finished product milled in a lathe at the other...

oops... that's CAD I've just described... CNC is even more sophisticated.

This is a trait the the British do not like in SOME Cypriots. You ask a question, and you reply,in a polite manner. The questioner does not respond in kind because they have lost interest,or has nothing pleasant to add.
It is bad manners...

Purdey ... I have read everything you have written ...

I have not been ignoring you.

Like a good therapist I have allowed you to post without interruption.

Now I am seriously worried about your mental health.

You have been flitting from coherence to mambo to semi-sense...

Something is seriously wrong :?

Do you want to talk in private?

I have had a bad day Phoenix.Lost my temper with a piece of wood and split it.The piece of wood belonged to a old gun,not mine and quiet expensive.Ruined, hence I have been out of sorts..
I will be back to MY normal on Monday. At the moment I need to rant a little.
