CC-- i think what Sega was saying is that there will be some who will brit bash, or american bash, or turk bash, or greek bash.... it's just gonna happen, and not to let it get to you. just as you and i tend to cypriot bash at times to get our point across... (which we do in retaliation of the brit/american bashing)

There is NO EXCUSE for any unpleasantness, But what goes out comes back sooner or later. If Brit Bashing goes on which it DOES and you know it, then there is bound to be a reaction to it.

React less ... think more.

If people addressed the arguments rather than try to find things to bash the others with, we would have less fallout.

I am still in the midst of two cultures the British and the Cypriot both of which I love through familiarity.

But I do try and address each point as I see it.
I am a reductionist by habit.

So I find it overwhelming when a great bandwagon loaded with mob mentality marches through the forum, logic and reason cast aside ... with one intent, to unearth as much anti-Cypriot rhetoric as possible ... whilst all the time ignoring the fact that basically everyone is the same.

I am a reasonable woman, and I behave like an adult, however sometimes it is like being in a school playground.

CC ... I suggest you carry on looking at your motives for being on a Cypriot forum specifically to Cypriot bash.

I am not questioning your right to be here, I fully support that right.

But why be on a Cypriot forum, if all you do is criticize them?

I do not hate any group of people enough ... that I would persecute them from a distance via one of their own outlets.

Yet that is precisely how you are coming across.

Helpful hint .... look inside yourself and ask, what are your motives?

Why do you do this,? every topic you turn into a racist fight, This Cypriot bashing you refer to is a disagreement between two cultures. I suggest to you that you look at your motives.
If you look at your other posts, you freely have a pop at the Brits, I can understand that you have an issue with the Turks, but why the British.
I do not persecute anyone, I dislike attitudes which are agressive and inflamatory.
But why does everyone HAVE to agree with you.

With any luck the Cyprus problem will be solved soon now that you have a new President at least that is what he is telling the world.
Once a solution is found what will you bang on about then.?

Get over yourself, I worked with a woman like you in the end no-one would have anything to do with her.

Ahhh... just ignore them. I only got bashed once, but I set them straight. I will tell you once thing, it's like highschool mentality. The more you show them it bothers you the more they do it. Oracle was complaining about anti-Cypriots, you saying their Brit Bashing, it's all relative. TC are complaining about anti-Turkish message. It's all relative.

I just cannot be doing with Hypocrisy, if you cook it you have to be prepared to eat it. I saw and heard a lot in Cyprus and kept my mouth shut, all I ended up with was an ulcer for my trouble. Now I tell it like it is,
I try to soften it as much as I can, but some people you just cannot be nice to.

The racism inside your head, controls your thoughts and views.

precisly, some people just bash at anybody, that's the way they are. Most of them do not mean harm, it's their upbringing and environment that is at fault. You can get your point accross without bashing at people, it involves creating a scenario were you would not specify ethnicity.

precisly, some people just bash at anybody, that's the way they are. Most of them do not mean harm, it's their upbringing and environment that is at fault. You can get your point accross without bashing at people, it involves creating a scenario were you would not specify ethnicity.

People harbour a lot of malice to their fellow man .. with little or no reason.

Because we are so close to the Cyprus Problem threads here, where our feelings for the enemy that harms us are being expressed in order to prevent such atrocities continuing ... it seems to give just anyone an excuse to vent any racist rubbish that spews from their brains.

They cannot distinguish between true suffering, from personal experience at the hands of someone threatening your life ... and the fact that they got overtaken in traffic, or lost some money through bad advice.
