That won't work Denize. The problem is that their jealousy is driving them crazy. They can't accept that a little nation like us can be happier and better off then them.

Kafenes,
Cyprus is not a nation but merely a little sunny rock in the Mediterranean. The Greeks are a nation, the Germans are a nation etc. etc.
But the Cypriots are definelty not a nation of people. :D

Which of these definitions of nation do the Cypriots not fit in with?

Nation as in people:
body politic, colony, commonwealth, community, democracy, domain, dominion, land, people, populace, population, public, race, republic, society, state, tribe.

Oracle,
Considerable group of people having common descent or history.
I don't regard Cyprus as having a "considerable" group of people. Certainly not enough to describe it as a nation. This is not a criticism by the way Oracle. You would describe Greece as a nation of people as you would of France etc. but I don't think that would apply to Cyprus.

React less ... think more.

If people addressed the arguments rather than try to find things to bash the others with, we would have less fallout.

I am still in the midst of two cultures the British and the Cypriot both of which I love through familiarity.

But I do try and address each point as I see it.
I am a reductionist by habit.

So I find it overwhelming when a great bandwagon loaded with mob mentality marches through the forum, logic and reason cast aside ... with one intent, to unearth as much anti-Cypriot rhetoric as possible ... whilst all the time ignoring the fact that basically everyone is the same.

Bucksboy ... you have seriously lost this.

Where do numbers come into it? How big is a"community"?

How long is a piece of string?

It's not its length which makes it string ... it is its essence / components.

The dictionary definition does not assign numbers.

Your definition is of your own making ... and it is flawed. What number will you set?

BB .... stop digging.

(I'll take it you accept as a premise, there are more than 3 Cypriots .... )

Yes the none Cypriots among us do not fully understand the Cypriot mentality,I believe not all Cypriots understand the ever changing mentality of their own people.
I know the vast majority of British do not understand our own mentality,or in this day and age don't want to know. That's why they up sticks and head for Cyprus.

Fine ...

But once they get here ..... they just want to change things to be more like the things they were familiar with back home ...

Which they were trying to get away from in the first place ...

I think a woman should know her place in Cyprus 8)

Brave man Zan, now you're gonna get a kicking for sure.....

What technology did you use to churn this topic out, CNC manufacturing? :?

lol... CNC manufacturing.

What's this? :?

Imagine designing with a computer at one end and getting the finished product milled in a lathe at the other...

oops... that's CAD I've just described... CNC is even more sophisticated.

That should be CAM, GR.

Computer Aided Manufacturing.
