Honestly, the difference is marginal. Things have slightly increased in price. Who is to say that these differences would have not gone up without the euro. For the last 5/6 years Cyprus has been an expensive place, things are continuously going up. When you have a huge global market, two things tend to happen; wages go up and cost of leaving (excluding housing) goes down. I feel the euro will bring more tourists, and more businesses here, making things better for all.

Sorry, forgot to say, it will remove bad businesses from the market, they tend to get eaten up by the big guys. Small businesses here tend to pay poorly and overwork their team, meaning that the best employees will work for the big boys, who in tern will do a better job. There the small companies will either have to adapt and settle for less money, or get eaten up.

Cyprus is at the moment 10% more expensive to people outside of Cyprus (Ex-Pats/holidaymakers) due to the pounds Decline against the Euro.
As an example we looked at a property in November 2007 priced at £128,000 GBP it is now £139,000 GBP in real terms.
