Criticism from an American on enviromental issues? Do you really mean what you write or are you simply a masochist looking forward to getting bashed?

You need to look no further than the size of the cars Americans drive, fortunately your government looks after your oil needs by invading other countries so you can pay for a gallon as much as Europeans pay for a litre. The average American needs to do a year's voluntary work to invert the environmental damage he causes in a day!

Does the average American do a 30,000 years' community service? I'm afraid not... Cypriots do no community service at all and yet they are much, much less harmful to their environment than Americans. Do you get it now?

i get that i went to cyprus and saw a major problem with pet overpopulation, and NO cypriots doing anything about it.
i get it that i went to cyprus and saw garbage everywhere, making a perfectly beautiful landscape look ugly.
i get it that i read about how cy is becoming one of the fasted growing polluted european countries.
i get that it is the cypriot way, and you will never change.

I was doing alot of charity work when I was living in Cyprus. Theatre shows, pub Karaokee and I was a drama teacher for free and working in a workshop for free for the Orphans. That was the best time of my life and it made me feel like a proper Christian, I felt GREAT!!

we are great at alot of things. for one, we are a very generous people, and we do community service, which is what this thread is about. now prove to me that you are equals in that respect. so far, no one can.

and this thread was not started to bash anyone. it was brought up in other threads that you don't much care to do any community service to help pets, that you take care of your children and elders. it was merely out iof interest to see what kind of programs you have to help them. so far, no one can tell me.
i hlep pets here, becuase that is also the field i make a living at, but i am in the process of doing a major fund raising to help women with cancer. i will be doing a run walk in may, adn am fund raising. for every $50 my clients donate, i will give them a free pet sitting service. care to donate, if i post the link?

Why do you insist on this, GorillaGal? Is it not true that Americans are the highest ranking polluters worldwide? Some silly guilt-driven community service is not enough to repair the damage you do. Are you so thick to not realize that Cyprus is not America? The USA has accumulated one fourth of the world's wealth, Americans live lives so comfortable that they can afford to give more money on cat food than what whole families make in a month elsewhere. Dogs and cats are dogs and cats, they don't need human homes or "love", humans do!

The only thing you're good at is name calling and net trawling (in order of competence). You have a long way to go to prove the credibility of your sources. For every website you post that states 3.5 billion, I can post one that states 850,000. Where's the egg, baby boy?
