The Turkish Cypriot self-isolation policy from 1963 onwards

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Viewpoint » Thu Feb 28, 2008 1:50 pm

So according to GC logic we imposed isolation on ourselves because we felt the GCs were so accommodating and understanding, GCs opposed their own supreme court decision and took matters into their own hands kicking us out of the government to give them a freedom to promote Aktritas that would allow them even more power to gift Cyprus to Greece with or without the TC population. Well forgive us for fighting back for what we felt was right our survival, we should be indebted to GCs for discriminating and persecuting TCs with kid gloves..get a grip you GCs your vindictive and greedy policies have brought you to partition and you still complain it was all someone else's fault, time to grow up and accept that your stance will get you nowhere, your national council stil reeks of EOKA minded shit heads who would never agree to unification their one main aim is to turn this island into a Greek one.

So if I've got this self-isolation thing right.
- TC ministers visited Syria to try and stop them sending the ferry to us.
- TC representatives are doing everything they can to stop planes coming directly from foreign countries to TRNC.
- The TRNC government sued London Transport to make them remove adverts about holidays in TRNC.
- The TRNC authorities have declared the use of Famagusta port illegal.

It's all so simple and clear once you see it listed.

I was simply pointing out the logic of Get Real's argument.

For your own reasons you wished to read much more into my comment. I can't control for your idle speculations.

For the record, 'blame' is attributable to all sides. For the record, we must not whitewash. For the record, yes I also agree with Nikitas that Turkish Cypriots were subject to the nationalist maneouvrings and schemes of Turkish nationalists both in Cyprus and from Turkey. But again, Get Real's is a perverse logic.

Problem is, I haven’t posted MY logic yet CopperLine, and what the thread starts with is the United Nation’s observations which you obviously haven’t bothered to read.

You chose the title of this thread. You chose the words in that title. Your logic.

You chose the document to be cited. You chose to highlight certain sections from those documents. Your logic.

The United Nations had made its observations at the time and subsequently noted its conclusions in this document. You of course are free to interpret it in whichever way you want… as for the rest of us it’s as clear as the finest crystal.

I don't understand what's going on ...

Are the TCs just trying to get attention by locking themselves away, and then screaming they have been isolated? :?

It’s like there’s a weapon, fingerprints, and a couple of eye-witnesses against them for first degree murder and instead of them pleading for insanity they’re pleading for ours!
