What is more alarming right now however is how the teenage minds are formed as well. These are the kids that are just about to join the army and the enviroment they grow up in is not a healthy one to this day.

Take ths website for example
www.greekmurderers.net A normal thinking human being would ignore this type of crap, teenagers however will not.

In fact the only adult that i know that uses this typ of website is Zan who's been caught quoting from it a number of times. Now you tell me, what more dangerous?

I have noted that you have not ignored that web site. Unfortunately such sites, anti Turk anti Greek are plentyful. Dont you think that OrPh is a subscriber to these sites.

Seriously I dont think Zan needs these sites. He talks through his heart and I do not necessarily agree with everything he says.

Thats what i keep telling him as well! I respect what he says when it comes from him, but not when he quotes ridiculous sites such as that one.

Perhaps I do need to explain then

The post was made because of the repeated attempts by the likes of Orafice and GR to discredit the links and quotes I gave. ne was Turkish and the other a paid agent of Turkey and so on with their usual crap which is on the first page of the Greek propaganda books.....So the rap was set and if you remember the link was posted after the two tried to shoot the messenger......Then along comes DT to mop up the mess made by those two.....Jigsaw complete........DT revisits the site many times, after a slight pause, because it still has not been cleared up and the damage to flanks remains......I felt sorry for you DT and have given you closure...END::::::

   Don't like what you read then attack the messenger.....You are squirming mister calm and I love it.......I take reality and shove it down your throat and you try to justify Greek teachings by blaming the teenagers themselves........How about you reform your education system so these teenagers are not so easily corrupted Mr President.   How about you tell your army and your church to teach peace and harmony and what you did to us in 1963 so that they can form their opinions on that instead of just what happened in 1974....Won't do it will ya lover!!!!.. Blame the kids, blame the TCs and blame the cat....Responsible people like you are washing their hands as we speak and making speeches to clear their name....hehehehehehe

I see I've upset you. I'm truly sorry.

The point I'm making Zan is you'll never be able to convince anyone, let alone kids that Turks are not the "bad"guys while you hold onto their parents homes. Even if you did change the education system (not sure if this happens or not since i didn't go to greek school) then you'll have the same effect on kids. Why? Cause the cliche "Turk" is pointing 40,000 guns at them, brought Anatolian farmers into their homes and has painted a big cartoon on a mountain to rub it in.

I'm afraid, saying anything different to their kids is an uphill battle.

you on the other hand should know better than to use websites such as www.greekmurderers.net for your information.

The squirming continues    If I thought for one minute that you are as confused and amateurish like the GR and the Oracle, I would actually take the time and explain to you what the "quoting" from that site was about but I know you already know so I will not waste your time or mine.

The fact that these kids were taught about the houses being taken away and not told why is testament as to how you brainwash your children in the first place DT so stop playing games that you will not win....Your analogy about the struggle being against gravity shows the place you have driven your children in the first place and now claim victim status and throw your hands up in amazement......Try giving birth at the top of the hill and then pushing the pram not be so hard......You are so in control the one minute and then in free fall the next when it suits you......Squirm squirm squirm!!!!!

Well lets conduct a little experiment then.

Please havein mind how personable kids are. Everything is important if it happens to them. If it happens to a collective then it loses its importance.

-My house is not here in Nicosia, my dad says its in Kyrenia.
-Do you understand why someone else is living it now?
-Yes, because the Turks came and kicked my parents out of the house.
- Yes but some GC's did some terrible things to TC's
- DId my parents do anything to them?
- no
-Then why did they kick my parents out?

DT,
my dear friend . i am not with you with this argument .İt is not a good excuse to teach the kids Turk's are pointing guns towards them ..... etc .....etc ...... this hate and not trusting will go forever ...... We must start from education ...... We must teach our children to love each other .
We used to have too many chauvinist saying in our history books . With new government they have change it . We are waiting same thing from Greek Cypriot's side too DT. By finding excuses we will end up with nothing .Even at my home i don't carry any flag at all .
I bet you , if you come to north and talk with kids they can not tell about history at all . We all know from our childhood , how many of us like history books . İt was always difficult for us to remember all the dates or wars .... etc....... important thing is my dear friend DT , we must not talk such a bad things about each other , specially front of the our kids . They can get effected very easy. WE MUST DO OUR HOMES WORKS WELL.
WE CAN ACHİVE İT TOGETHER.

Halil, my point is that it is a different scenarion with your kids. They are growing up in what is effectively the spoils of war. They are not staring at a situation every day hoping it will change one day and the one that does not allow this change is the "Turk."

I could not stop my mother of sighing every now and then that she wishes she was in Morphou or Nikitas now. The kid will pick up on this and question, why is the parent sad? What is making his parent sad?

Now we both know that educated people (apart from some fanatics) would never start their kids lives off like that. Regardless of what is happening, teaching your kid to hate a colelctive or an individual is ludicrous. But they will pick up on the anxiety and/or sadness.

As far as the books are concerned, I have no idea (honestly) whats in them today, perhaps someone who has studied them recently can give us an opinion. I still insist however, that goodwill image corrective actions from your side are long overdue. I hope we will be able to find a practical way of reciprocating that as well.

I have enough first hand experience of Turks and their atrocities that any opinions I have of Turks are based on solid evidence and facts from the highest sources.

There are enough of these to fry Turkey.

Thats what i keep telling him as well! I respect what he says when it comes from him, but not when he quotes ridiculous sites such as that one.

A genuine anecdote if I may:

A member of our facilities department was cleaning the toilets one day. He was well liked by all the faculty. He carried out his duties without a moan. It was nearing his retirement, and I asked him how long had he got left cleaning toilets, a crappy job. His reply was " crap to you, but its my bread and butter".

We all use different sites. Some good , some bad. We can all be selective with what we post. We dont necessarily like what some GCs post as 'good' sources and we dont expect you (plural) to agree with everything we post. Such is life. But I believe Zan mentioned he had a point in posting/quoting that site which apparently you know about.
