Wise words from a wise Cypriot .
Wise words .... from a cunning Cypriot. He says one thing but the propaganda he spreads around the forum says another.
And as for how
big Cyprus is ... how many more people, are they going to allow the Turks to ship over from Turkey, before they actually
act like Cypriots not just
talk like Cypriots?
Thanks Miltiades,
paste the news is not a propaganda it helps us to understand how far we are away from each other or close . He are is the new one what the TC's leader thinks and where to start . as Moeller saying two leaders views are well known they will come together and try to find solutions .
PRESIDENT TALAT SAYS BUILDING STONES OF ANNAN PLAN SHOULD
BE USED
President Mehmet Ali Talat has said that the building stones of the Annan Plan should be used in bringing about a solution to the Cyprus problem.
In an interview with a Greek newspaper, the President said the Turkish Cypriot Side wanted to bring a lasting solution to the problem by the end of 2008.
President Talat told the Greek newspaper Elefterotipia that he wanted to solve the Cyprus problem at the earliest date possible.
Stressing that it would not be possible to start negotiations on the Cyprus issue from the very beginning,
President Talat said `We have the Annan Plan. We should use the building stones of this plan`.
Noting that the objective of the Turkish Cypriot Side was to settle the problem by the end of 2008, Mr Talat said `I have many reasons to believe that this is possible. We have got plenty of time until the end of the year to carry out a short period of preparatory work and fully-fledged negotiations`.
Warning that the continuation of the problem could lead to the permanent division of the island, he said `We don’t want to become another Taiwan. What I have been defending for years is an agreement based on the political equality of the two sides, as envisaged by the standing UN resolutions`.
