I was speaking to my wifes grandfather yesterday during a barbeque and i asked him what he thought about the newly elected president of Greek Cyprus and the whether he thought there was a possibility of negotiation now that papadopoulos was gone..... his response.....and i think my of us TC'a will agree......ali, biri beyaz kopek obiri kara kopek, ferki ne? kopek kopek dir. I couldnt have put it better myself, anyone thinking that this new guy will bring anything more than the status quo is dellusional.

Regarding my size perhaps you should consider a black man if you're after a "big man".

A cypriot turk? no different to the definition of a greek cypriot, entitled to the same rights just speaks a different lanuage and has a different religion.

Now now Big Al, there's no need for you to get unpleasant and start stereotyping, since that would be a form of Racism. If the 6ft.2 comment did not mean anything to you, then you should have just let it go, rather than make Racist comments.

Big Al,I am sure you are not an imbecile. In fact I am sure you have above average intelligence,and sensitivity. Your problem is you do not believe that we can learn from history and not repeat the same mistakes...It is true that a dog is a dog. But GCs and TCs are not dogs.
They are human beings,plus brothers and sisters and cousins and compatriots...Please give empathy and compassion time to work their magic over prejudice and bigotry...You will be surprised how close to our GC cousins you will find yourself feeling, if you just removed the cobwebs from your mind...

You are so caught up in your liberal fantasy land that you have lost all sense of who and what you are, even though your name suggests you are a TC i am seriously doubting that. As for your preaching, i had a GC girlfriend for many many years and have grown up with greeks and greek cypriots in Sydney, i have greek and gc friends but in no way do i consider them cousins. I am completely aware of the views they express to a turks face and the views they express when turks are not around. As i said, kopek kopekdir ve sen de kopeksin.

Big Al, your nationalist beliefs about Cyprus are well heard. But to insist on planning a future on a small island with plenty of tension does neither side any good for the mind or soul. Bringing up past shows that your not ready for change. You just rather stay stuck the way your used to.
