In case of a solution, will settlers vote in a referendum?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

In case of a solution, will settlers vote in a referendum?

Especially if there is an agreement for the repatriation of a large number of them.

Let's figire out important things first, like whether expat Cypriots, who were born in Cyprus, will be able to vote in a referendum.

Considering that the referendum is radically different from a regular election ALL Cypriots should be able to vote. To limit argument about who is and who is not a Cypriot the qualifier will be Cyprus as place of birth.

Colonisation being a crime under international law, settlers SHOULD NOT VOTE. Settlers who married Cypriots become Cypriot and can stay and vote. All others get compensation and go back to their motherland. And I mean ALL, on ALL sides. There are plenty of Cypriots who were forced by circumstances to leave Cyprus and they ought to be encouraged to return.

Giving settlers rights over the Expat Cypriots undermines any agreement. Settling the Cyprus problem is not just a question of dong things for the Cypriots who are now in Cyprus. A solution provides for ALL Cypriots everywhere. The fundamental principle should be CYPRIOTS FIRST.

If this principle is not acceptable then compensate us expats for the loss of our patrimony and go to hell with your settlers.

Please be more specific. Are you talking about EU citizens on our side? The Pontians in Paphos? The Sri Lankan housekeepers?
