Can Christofias Coax the Chameleon .....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Can Christofias Coax the Chameleon .....

Postby Oracle » Mon Feb 25, 2008 9:54 pm

Can Christofias clinch a catharsis of the Cyprus canker called Talat?

This cad, renowned for a cacophony of noises and chicanery is the carbuncle to any compromise. Changing his colours rather than reaching a consensus.

BBC wrote:.... The Cyprus President-elect, Demetris Christofias, said he had asked the UN to arrange a meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Mehmet Ali Talat.

Mr Christofias was speaking just hours after his election victory.

Decades of diplomatic efforts have failed to reunite the communities...

Mr Talat congratulated Mr Christofias on his election triumph and said "I believe that it won't be a surprise if we solve the problem by the end of 2008".

The BBC's Tabitha Morgan in Cyprus says significant issues that have scuppered all previous diplomatic initiatives remain to be tackled. These include the Turkish troop presence in the north of the island.

Can Christofias heal divide?

Mr Christofias is likely to find that any progress on reunification will be slow and difficult, our correspondent says.

Many sensitive issues remain unresolved, including the return of refugees, security and the constitution.

Is Talat conspiring to fool Christofias with this conjecture?

Why should our elected leader President Talat try to fool anyone?

Phoenix you make me miss Denktaş. As long as we don't get want we want you can forgt about a single Turkish Soldier going anywhere. Christofias has been elected at least 20 years late. If it were back in the days of the USSR things would have gotten real interesting  .

I agree entirely , enough of these vitriolic attacks , I think you have made your point and proven to all that you detest the T/Cs just as much as Eric Dayi and Pauul hate the G/Cs.
You have not contributed one iota of constructive input to the Cyprus problem , to the detriment of our cause you have excelled , but constructive most definitely not.

DT no matter what the solution that TC's want is far from what is on the table from the GC's , this is a fact. Some things are just not up for negotiation no matter what.
