No that's not what I want, but it sounds interesting, which phone do you have and how did you pull it off. I would be interested to know.

Unless you've got plenty of Euros to burn forget about connecting to the Internet via your mobile phone.

I thought MTN did something for cheap, so I guess it's expensive. Does 3G not exist where you pay a monthly fee and your always online with your phone. I was thinking of getting one of those super portable machine and connecting online.

Methinks you're getting bored with your current setup and are looking for adventure... who in the right mind would want to hook up to the net via a stupid mobile phone while in suburbia?

Goodnight Sega...

Oh great thanks. I'll give this number to my wife. She seems to get these strange headaches at nights in bed. :)

You do not use your mobile phone as such , you have to buy a wee modem gadget which uses a mobile network for broadband . I use 3mobile becase it has a pay as you go option and I do not want another contract as I have broadband at home and work and private mobile contracts .
Im sure you can do this on cypriot networks but may not be able to get the pay as you go option .
This is what I use . http://threestore.three.co.uk/payg/?modem=1

Mate, for those on the go...

I’m sure you’ve heard of OPM (other people’s money) right? Well there’s another thing called OPB (other people’s bandwidth)…use it! It’s FREE and perfectly LEGAL.

I don't know about Cyprus, but in Greece you can have flat-rate HSDPA (3.6 mbps) internet access for 3.5 euros/month. The 3G coverage is excellent. You can either use a mobile browser (my nokia n82 has an excellent browser that renders at incredible speeds) or connect the phone to a laptop. No need to bother searching for wifi networks, most of them are WPA-protected anyway.

Emm... you can only do it using airwaves/wireless internet... I don't think it's perfectadly legal. You can do it, it's more for criminals who want to search and hack people.
