How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Big Al » Wed Feb 27, 2008 12:45 am

Gday guys and girls, i havent gone anywhwere im just in a different time zone to you so i was probably sleeping when you guys were trying to come up with semi-intellectual insults.

Regarding calling myself a cypriot turk, a turk is a turk, regardless of whether i am from Cyprus, Turkey, Azerbajan, Turkmenistan or any other of a dozen countries. My loyalties will never lie with a Cyprus governed by a non turk just as your loyalties will never lie with a Cyprus governed by Turks. Calling myself a cypriot turk is the same as calling myself a turk from Istanbul, Ankara or Izmir, same thing.

Mr New Zealander, i would suggest you worry about your own countries issues rather than Cyrpus, i was in Auckand New Zealand late last year and the local Moari people were living as second class citizens, ones who's culture had been destroyed by the British. So please dont try and tell me about occupying powers, the british have the worst track record of any nation on earth.

My apologies to the rest of you whom i havent been able to respond to but since all the greek cypriots seem to want to pounce like hyenia's all at once when a cypriot turk has an opinion its quite difficult to respond to everyone

So you feign sympathy  ... but too dense to realise that where you condemn the British, the Turks have surpassed them a thousand-fold in ethnically cleansing 200,000 native Cypriots (substitute Maori) from their own homes.

And of course these 200,000 were completely blameless.

Oracle,
The British went to New Zealand, a nation on the other side of the world and had no reason to harm the native Maori.
Greek Cypriots chose to take a path which lead them to a union with Greece, Turkish civilians (including my grandparents) were killed prior to Turkey sending in troops. As i said before, you started a war which you couldnt win and now want land back, unfortunately all i can say they should have left the Turkish population alone to begin with. You cannot lose a war and then ask land back..... Let me put it in a way that as a greek you may understand... lets say your playing poker or manilla, you choose to enter the game and then you lose all your money, you have no right to ask for it back in my opinion.

Let us replay that ...

The Mongolians went to Cyprus, a nation on the other side of the world and had no reason to harm the native Cypriots.

The rest of your statement is therefore invalid ......

Oracle,
Do you really think that by replacing a couple of words in my sentenses you can win this argument???
The question i pose to you still remains....... for centuires the two communities lived together in harmony until the GC's decided on enosis, started a war and lost. Do you believe that every nation in history that has lost a war is entitled to ask for land back and if so how far back in history do we go??

'Big Al',you are a typical scummy Turk, just like Eric Dayi! You're also full of crap! You know absolutely nothing about the race relations situation over here in New Zealand.A majority of Maoris ARE NOT anti-British! By the way, there's no such thing as a full-blooded Maori. The Maori Nationalists are the troublemakers over here,as are the Hell-bound republican bigots.

As seen as you're in Aussie, you're right at home,as Aussie has a very poor race relations record, especially towards the Aborigines.

As seen as you have the cheek to label the British as barbarians,I can tell you that goes to prove that it is the pot calling the kettle black.Turkey ISan extremely racist country that treats its ethnic & religious minorities as if they are subhuman, even to the extent of using its army to kill Kurds in northern Iraq.

Turkey is the Middle East's equivilant of the Republic of Ireland! You can shove it up where the sun doesn't shine, you wanker!

Aidan.
