Talat on live transmission

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Now now Big Al, there's no need for you to get unpleasant and start stereotyping, since that would be a form of Racism. If the 6ft.2 comment did not mean anything to you, then you should have just let it go, rather than make Racist comments.

I did not ask for you to define me what is a Greek Cypriot or Turkish Cypriot Big Al. I've asked you to define me what is a
Cypriot Turk.

I also think REFUNiFYING Cyprus is a bad Idea, it's funny enough already.

Big Al,

firstly welcome.

on the premise that you cannot have what you want personally, and that the "Greeks" cannot have what they want, would you leave your comments on my proposal?

i found it heartening that you call yourself a Cypriot Turk, does it mean that you would put Cyprus first before your Turkishness?

...also, noticing your use of the term TC, do you think that there is a difference between a Turkish Cypriot and a Cypriot Turk?

Big Al wrote:BC Numismatics, you need to face a couple of facts, the TRNC exists, i have swam in the beaches of Girne, walked through the streets of Lefkosa and had dinner in restaurants in Magusa, i have done all these things as a proud turk. You and every other GC can bark like a dog as loud as you want the truth is you can deny its existence but in the end you will never, ever remove me from what now belongs to me, as it did in ottoman times.
I look at Turkey's forces on Cyprus as a guarantor excerising their rights to protect their citizens, a force which i know will always be there, almost like a police force stopping any ideas of enosis coming up again.
If you think Turkey is the problem grow some balls and go over to Cyprus and try and get them out.

'Big Al',you're forgetting one thing - Turkey IS an occupying power,NOT a guarantor power!

The existence of the so-called 'TRNC' has been condemned in the strongest terms by both the British Commonwealth & the United Nations. This means that the so-called 'TRNC' IS illegal, along with Turkey's occupation!

By the way,I'm not a Greek-speaking Cypriot, nor am I in Cyprus.I am a British New Zealander who believes very strongly in the reunification of Cyprus as a united federal republic within the British Commonwealth though. There should be only one Cyprus - a Cypriot Cyprus that does not have any distinctions based on either race or language. The Cypriot Constitution needs to be amended to include English as an official language,as English is the language that links both Cypriot communities together.

Aidan.

I think Big Al is just another Turkish antagonizer who doesn't know how to adapt with civil society so he just barks like the rest of them.

BC, I call you sir.

you have voiced your opinion, and your belief is most clear, and I support you.

but Big Al has expressed his sense in a manner which is respectful.
do not judge him please, because he has as much right to his as well.
our objective is to learn, no?
...and to communicate
let us govern ourselves accordingly.
