Talat on live transmission

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Big Al » Tue Feb 26, 2008 6:26 am

My view point as a cypriot turk and a new member,
* unifying the island of cyprus is not a solution, i believe many TC's feel the same way, they do not want to live with GC's. too much history too much ill feeling and mistrust. Plus i dont think any turk would appreciate the inevitable truth about unification...becoming a minority and living under GC rule again.
* Nothern Cyprus is not occupied by turkey, i am proud to see turkish soldiers and turkey's flag in cyprus, to me there is no difference between mainland turks and TC's. Its through clever politics that Greeks have managed to make the world believe turkey "invaded cyprus'. Why should northern cyprus reunite with the south??? GC's started the conflict through stupid idea's of enosis, lost a war and now want land back. Get real please, or should every nation which has lost a war want there land back, and if so how far back in history should we go??
* Southern cyprus has been a pain in turkey's ass over the EU, something which most turks are now losing interest in. Within the next decade much more powerful communities will flourish and new, more dynamic econmies will develop and any reamining interest in the EU by Turkey will completely vanish.
* Greek cypriots can bark as much as they like Turkey will never, ever give them access to its ports or remove its soldiers from cyprus, no matter how difficult they try and make things for Turkey.
* KKTC will eventually be recognised if TC's reject a deal with the GC's. Firstly through islamic nations and Turkic speaking nations, then throughout asia and eventually the western world, refunifying Cyprus is a bad idea..

Big Al,your posting is a load of crap! The so-called 'TRNC' has NEVER had any legal right to exist.

As for saying that southern Cyprus is the problem, that goes to show how wrong you are! As for saying that northern Cyprus isn't illegally occupied by Turkey, that's another load of crap!

TURKEY IS THE PROBLEM! SOUTHERN CYPRUS & GREAT BRITAIN ARE NOT THE PROBLEM!

Aidan.

BC Numismatics, you need to face a couple of facts, the TRNC exists, i have swam in the beaches of Girne, walked through the streets of Lefkosa and had dinner in restaurants in Magusa, i have done all these things as a proud turk. You and every other GC can bark like a dog as loud as you want the truth is you can deny its existence but in the end you will never, ever remove me from what now belongs to me, as it did in ottoman times.
I look at Turkey's forces on Cyprus as a guarantor excerising their rights to protect their citizens, a force which i know will always be there, almost like a police force stopping any ideas of enosis coming up again.
If you think Turkey is the problem grow some balls and go over to Cyprus and try and get them out.

Why then you little Al have elected Talat as your leader, and is he lying when he claims he wants a re-unification solution?

If Cyprus is one then why is the north flying a different flag to the south?
If its indivisible why have UN soldiers been there for decades?
And yes it does belong to Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots to the north and Greek Cypriots to the south.

Talat plays the game as greeks do........
Realistically, unification is a fantasy of GC's, it will never happen.

Little Al, if we made the world beilive that Turkey invaded Cyprus, why then BBC made this report on the 20th of July 1974?
