Christofias wins what is next

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

No, it didn`t and there has been no war between the RoC and Turkey. A community of the Cyprus assembled an an army against the constituion of the RoC established per the Zurich Agrements. That illegal organization killed innocent TCs and fatally attempted to annex the island to Greece. The only war that took place was between the criminal gang you assembled and a NATO member Army.

 You are loosing it mate. Cyprus is an independent sovereign country member of the United Nations. Just repeating your crap all day will not make them true.

It says "immediate end to foreign military intervention". I believe that would include Greece and all her military personel, weapons, logistics and accoomodating financial support on the island as well. Is this part covered by your end; or better yet has it ever been?

On July 20th the foreign intervention was by Turkey, so stop hiding behind your finger.

You were the COMMUNITY outnumbering us 1 to 4 with an objective of handing the island to Greece. With that, you had the initiative and you established a paramilitary organization that destroyed anything and everything that stood in the way of uniting the whole of Cyprus with Greece. You launched your offensive and we resisted. Check the sequence of the dates which EOKA and TMT were established...

We outnumber you 1 to 5+ actually, but of course that didn't stop you from going against the democratic wishes of the Cypriot people because you knew you had turkey behind you.

EOKA was established to fight the colonialists and that is what they did. We wanted to be free from foreign oppressors. Do you have a problem with that Murataga?

The inter-communal conflict started by you, and it is documented in the video I posted earlier. The creation of TMT coincides with the beginning of the inter-communal conflict. So you should check your sequence of events and see that you are the ones who started the conflict.

Rights are not valid when it only suits you. We all have rights and all of our rights have limitations. Your rights are as that of a COMMUNITY; do you accept this or not?

My rights are those of a Cypriot citizen. How is belonging to a community make my rights less? Do you think we are living in the Ottoman era that you could class anybody you wanted as a second category citizen with lesser rights? What are the limits to my rights are defined only by Cyprus and EU laws, not by you.

Old habits die hard I know, but please people, refrain from your old and tired arguments...We truly have a chance now for reunification...Turkish Cypriots have two red lines which they will not cross. One is the presence of Turkish troops...The other is a guarantor's role for Turkey...I have taken off my idealist hat,and put on my realist one...We already have an agreement which provides these two conditions. It is the 1960 agreements...I want Christofias to invite Talat to return to the Republic which Denktash took us out of in 1963....I want Talat to agree to negotiate on Makarios' 13 points to find a mutually agreed compromise on the proper functioning of OUR TRUE CYPRIOT REPUBLIC....iF they can do that our country will be saved....The number of Turkish troops will be reduced to 650...Turkey will have the power to intervene again IF the integrity and sovereignty of Cyprus is compromised once more...End of the seemingly insolvable Cyprus problem...We need some guts from both leaders now...Come on...Let us all put the interests of Cyprus and her people ahead of all other considerations...We are soooo near now..... 8) 8)

Bir, the "red lines" are for those that are considered the weak. TCs with Turkey and her allies backing them think they can get way way more than their red lines. Like 30% of land under their rule and 50% power share. Thats the problem.

But the TCs consider themselves the weaker of the two sides,Piratis...And this is one fact the GCs will have to accept. Too much have happened between 1955 and 1974 for them to forgo those two conditions...We all have to compromise...The time to compromise is Now...If the rot sets in we will be wearing the status quo for the rest of our lives, well mine at least...I do want to see a united Cyprus before I die.
And I want to be buried under a wallnut tree in Istinco... 8)

Bir if it is a story of give and take, Turkish Cypriots will have to consider as well, how much the threat from Turkey overwhelms Greek Cypriots, because they too are dwarfed in size.

...much between Turkey and Greece must be done as well. and as for the EU, Turkey has had no better friends than the "Greeks".

Bir, you didn't understand what I said. I don't have a problem with those 2 conditions which are already part part of the 1959 agreements. The problem is that TCs will not accept a solution with just that. They think they can gain on our loss way more than the 1959 agreements. And this belief obviously cames from the Turkish army that backs them. I don't think a minority of 18% would be otherwise able to make such ridiculous demands such as 30% control of land and 50% of power share if the didn't have someone powerful behind them.

Of course they should, dear RW...but they are so preoccupied with their own fear of the GCs to consider anything...I see classic symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in a lot of TC people posting here...Things have become so complicated that I am afraid no new agreement will ever be possible...Your solution proposal has a lot of merits but I am afraid we are way past any sensible new solution to this problem..That is why I believe we must grab the bull by the horn now, return to the point of origin and try again with hindsight...Make no mistake, this AKP (ERdogan) government do not want to join the EU. That would mean the end of their Islamic Republic dreams...That is why Christofias should now work with Talat to enforce the international laws stepped on by Turkey for so long...Else we will all become hostages to this Turkish government which will use Cyprob to keep Turkey out of EU for a long long time... :( :(

Well, they will just have to wear it,Piratis...
As you know well, theTCs have been stuck between a rock and a hard place for too long... If Christofias makes it easier for them to tell Turkey to please leave us Cypriots alone to settle our differences with the 13 points,Talat might just do it...I feel the offer of return to the 1960 agreements has to come from Christofias now...If the TCs reject it then the world will finally know who is being unreasonable in this conflict...We can't do much about the past, but we can shape the future...The future is here...Lets shape it together!!! 8) 8)

...indeed returning to the crux is the best place to start. If Talat can recall on what he was elected, and if he is as close as we imagine to his confrere, there is much to hope for.

at issue is the Communal Chamber which was never used, and the two National Assemblies will do much to address the issue. as for the direction of Municipalities the Bizonal context of the problem can only be considered as i have suggested because it allows for the inevitable consequence of a mobile society where there will exsist no community, Turcophone or Grecophone without its respective minority. More importantly, municipalities being under the Jurisdiction of one of these Assemblies, allows for the respective majorities, as Persons, to demonstrate tolerance and inclusiveness, while the Republic of Cyprus will be free of this contentious issue unless the rights of citizens as Individuals are challenged.

i find that the electoral process, having to have a "Greek" president and a "Turkish" vice president odious and i would hope that as Statesmen they can resolve this issue in a manner where the Parties, to win the Government's leadership must provide policy which is free of such an ethnic premise.
