Australian Wines.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Australian Wines.

While those Turkish troops are slaughtering Kurds in the North of Iraq and the Yanks are doing something similar in the South, isnt it nice to be sitting back watching the telly with a nice glass of Australian wine pretending to be interested in what goes on in the world.

I object to Australian ...

If one is to indulge, one should buy in from the producer-country nearest to their country of residence.

It is only right and proper in this day and age, that one does not increase ones Carbon footprint for mere inebriation ...

Myself ....... I have gone to the trouble of migrating to a direct source of the stuff ....

So no guilt on my part ... My wine only travels 30 miles from bottling to mouthing ....

I think you have made a very bold statement there mate, in the thread dealing with the Tukish troops in north Iraq, you brought up the subject of "Wine" and the whole debate went in that direction.
I opened the Australian wine topic and reversed the subject in the same way as you did. So you can do that but others cant then.
Also, are you saying that the Yanks are not slaughtering people in the south of Iraq?, I thought there was some kind of war going on down there in which thousands of people have died, perhaps I am wrong, maybe you know better. :?:

Iraq has been invaded by savages and the American Govt has sent in its troops to protect the people.
A new law has been passed, all people must change their names to "No One" before being slaughtered by any American G.I., that way the Yanks can truthfully say that they have slaughtered "No One" in the south. [Reuters].

The slaughtering is carried out by these pieces of shit who call themselves martyrs , this attack was last Friday , how dare you post such nonsense that the Yanks who are trying , along with the British to bring some stabiilty in this sick region , incidentally mate they dont like wine !!
I get so f..ng mad when I read such bullshit about the Ynaks slaughtering innocents !!

"""A double attack on Friday by two suicide bombers outside a crowded Shiite mosque in the northwestern Iraqi town of Tal Afar killed at least four people and wounded 17, police said. Tal Afar police chief Brigadier General Ibrahim al-Juburi said security forces shot both bombers but that the men still managed to detonate their suicide vests."""

O.K. mate, I really thought that the object of opening a thread was to talk about it, I made a mistake I suppose but I do find it a bit confusing, better get to bed before the children come in and find me doing what I said I would not in future, good-night mate. Andy.

Andy , I'm sorry mate , I just get so annoyed when people tend to disregard the efforts by the Americans and the Brits to bring some order and stability in this wretched region. I dont believe for a moment that any American or British commander will encourage his troops to go out and massacre Iraqis ,
Lets forget it I apologise for my outburts.Sleep well baddie and take care of the kids .
